Laochra Gayle dreams of being a super-hero: she’s just too busy dreaming to notice her friends are already are.

The Heroic Tales of Laochra Gayle is a coming-of-age action comedy about coping with change and grief at a transitional point in a child’s life. It is a story about friendship, family, and moving on. It is also about a greater transitional cultural period, set against the backdrop of post-recessionary suburban Ireland and the continuing global environmental disaster.
